O'Mahony intervenes with the landscape in order to create found temporary imagery. She covers rocks with canvases or dips boards covered with gesso into bogholes of algae. The resulting trace images suggest a new direction for her work. O'Mahony has exhibited extensively and has worked on numerous public art projects. She co-founded LIVIA (London Irish Visual Artists) Organisation in 1987. Her work is represented in numerous public and private collections. O'Mahony curated 'Local, local' an exhibition of art from a local perspective by Leila Doolan. File contains newspaper clippings, press releases and images of the artist's work
