Prendergast explores the themes of love, death and loss through a diverse range of materials. She is best known for her extremely delicate and intricate topographical drawings, installations and prints. Drawing inspiration from maps, she revisualises cartographic representations of landscape. These are transformed into a more open, contingent and flexible approach to understanding the world and our negotiation of it. Prendergast is recognised internationally and has exhibited throughout Europe and America. She has received numerous awards and public art commissions and is represented in prestigious public collections. File contains an extensive collection of newspaper clippings, press releases, catalogues and photographs of the artist's work.
