Images of the 1978 exhibition of Book Design Awards. The record sheet states that the exhibition features 13 of the best designed books produced in Ireland during the previous year, and also featuring 24 prize-winning entries in a competition fro the design of an Irish typeface; the exhibition was opened in the Kilkenny Desifn Shop, Nassau Street, Dublin on the 8th of June 1978. The best book in the show wa 'String Quarter in C Minor, a music score by the composer Frederick May, published by Woodtown Music. Pictured are Vi Eigeartaigh, James King, Martin O'Cadhain, Sean Boyle, Gareck a Brun (sic) aka Gareth Browne or Garech de Brun, Peter Wilbur, Frank Ryan, Liam Miller, Aodh O'Canainn, Brid Vi Eigeartaigh (sic).
