Scope and Content

Design for two arched windows. Each widow contains two quatrefoils divided by a scroll. In the first, the upper quatrefoil contains a breastplate inscribed 'Righteous', and in the lower quatrefoil a shield inscribed 'Faith'. In the second window the upper quatrefoil contains a helmet crossed with a sword, and in the lower quatrefoil an ecclesiastical building.

The drawings are annotated with bible references that relate to the motifs within the design. The first drawing is annotated with 'Eph. VI. 14, Matt. XXV. 4, Eph. VI. 16', and the second drawing is annotated 'Eph. VI.17. and John II. 19 Resurrection'. The mount is annotated with 'A sincere profession of religion flowing from an inward principle of holyness.
