Scope and Content

Designs for three windows. Design for rose window consisting of a large central window depicting Christ and the Virgin (the Pieta), surrounded by smaller roundels depicting 6 scenes from the life of Christ, and 6 smaller decorative roundels. Also, designs for two arched windows containing winged angels, one holding the papal arms, the other, the arms of St Teresa.

The design for the rose window is annotated with '1st sorrow. The offering in the Temple, 2nd the flight into Egypt, 3rd, the seeking in the temple, 4th Our lady meets Jesus on the way to Calvary, 5th There stood by the cross of Jesus, Mary his mother, 7th Jesus is laid in the tomb'. Also annotated in pen with, 'Birkdale', and Earley and Co. Camden Street, Dublin'. Verso annotated with rough pencil sketch of the arms of St Teresa.
