Scope and Content

Design for stained glass panels within the tracery of an arched window, depicting the annunciation. The left hand panel depicts the standing Angel Gabriel, the right, the kneeling Virgin, and dove of the holy spirit. The dagger quatrefoil depicts Chi Rho.

Annotated, 'St Michael's Church, Linlithgow, W. Lothian. Design for stained Glass', And 'Earley, Dublin'. Verso is annotated with 'This design remains the property of the artist and must be returned', and stamped 'Earley Studios of Ecclesiastic Arts, Dublin, Camden Street'.
