Kilkenny Design Workshops Archive Goes Online

KDW Archive in NIVAL Reading Room

A large scale project to catalogue the photographic image collection of the Kilkenny Design Workshops archive has entered the third phase of development.  Begun in 2008, this multi-stage project is designed to improve public access to information on the library's extensive collection of documentation on the KDW, deposited with NIVAL in 2002 by the Crafts Council of Ireland.

Thus far, a collection of several thousand photographic images have been catalogued to file level, recording descriptive information on materials, designers and dates.
