NIVAL welcomes new Regional Collector
NIVAL is pleased to announce the appointment of Anne-Marie McKee as our new Regional Collector for Galway and the Northwest of Ireland.
Anne-Marie is the Administrator of Artspace Studios, Galway and working towards the BA in Fine Art at GMIT. She brings to the post a wealth of knowledge of the Galway arts scene and years of experience of working in the arts.
And we say a fond farewell to Megs Morley, our previous Galway Collector, who has given up her post to dedicate her time more fully to her work as artist and curator. Congratulations on the excellent work at TULCA and best of luck with all your future projects!
The NIVAL Regional Collectors are a relatively recent addition to the NIVAL team and are positioned in Dublin, Limerick, Cork, Galway and Belfast. The role of the Collectors includes visiting exhibitions, artists studios and public art events, gathering information on arts activities and sending the material back to the reference library in Thomas Street. The Collectors are also there to talk to interested parties about the library's collections and the work we do to ensure the record of Ireland's visual arts heritage is secured into the future. If you are considering donating material to NIVAL or would simply like to meet the Collector in your area, contact Donna at NIVAL.
