Scope and Content
This book was made as part of a 2nd year NCAD Visual Communication project in which the students visited NIVAL, conducted research into a chosen subject and produced a publication.
This book is about the history of embroidery processes. The book is coptic bound with two embroidered panels on the front and back covers. There are two more embroidered panels in the centre of the book which marks the dividing line between the old and new testaments. The book can be read from either side. The book contains laser printed images and text. It is a brief history of embroidery touching on major artworks and advances in technology. There is also an interview with Irish textile artist Logan McLain.
