Rónán Ó Raghallaigh, Library Assistant, highlights how NIVAL warmly welcomes the use of Irish at all levels, and provides some useful words and phrases to get you started.

Do you speak Irish? Or do you have a few words and would like to practice? NIVAL welcomes the use of the Irish language, no matter what level you are at. We can facilitate research visits through Irish – please ask for Rónán when booking your appointment. We also love to hear people using their ‘cúpla focal’ in any way and NIVAL is a safe and encouraging environment for it, so please feel free to use any words you know during your visit!
