CALL OUT: Toolkit for Artists’ Archiving – Focus group participants invited

NIVAL collects a wide range of materials and welcomes donations from individual artists, artists’ estates and arts organisations and institutions. Donors often ask what types of materials NIVAL collects and how they could develop their own archives. We are keen to learn more from artists about their self-archiving practices and support them throughout this process, which may range from traditional and professionally-advised methods to more individual and creative approaches.

NIVAL is therefore developing a PDF toolkit with practical steps and prompts for artists and designers who would like to develop their own archive. We will run a focus group of artist and designer participants who will offer their own ideas of what they need.
