Text/Textile is a one-day symposium run by Creative Futures Academy (CFA): Chloe Brenan, Cliona Harmey and Éireann Lorsung. What happens when text production meets textile(s) production, and the etymology of ‘text’ and ‘textile’ (in ‘weaving) has to confront itself? Included as part of the day’s events is a tour of NIVAL with a presentation of a selection of items from the archives relating to text, textiles, handmaking and local craft.
